Joseph of Mercury

A crooner and a truly classic songwriter, Joseph of Mercury draws from every golden era of sound while simultaneously manifesting the future. An artist, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer splitting his time between Toronto and Los Angeles, he first started releasing music as Joseph of Mercury in 2017, blending cinematic storytelling, vulnerable lyricism, and crooning vocals to create a unique, timeless sound. Drawing listeners into his world, Joseph has built a reputation for songs that are emotionally resonant, layered, and unmistakably his own.

With an impressive catalog of songs in his own right, Joseph, who is signed to Spirit Music, also brings his unique talents to the works of others. Notable collaborations: A Boogie Wit da Hoodie and Young Thug’s “Let’s Go Away,” Majid Jordan’s “Something About You,” and Blood Orange and Nelly Furtado’s “Hadron Collider.” Through words & melody he reaches back through time and captures something sincere. Songs about haunting love, hope, joy, loss, broken bodies, and dreams that seem to lay just out of reach, or in the very palm of your hand.
